The Kokomo Vipers Football Club returned home for the sixth contest of its inaugural season, but once again failed to enter the win column, dropping its game against Fut Ohio SC, 7-4, on May 19.
The Vipers compete in the Ohio Conference, one of 38 conferences in the U.S. in which 381 teams compete in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). With an 0-6 record, Kokomo sits at the bottom of its 10-team conference.
The four goals scored on Sunday were the most by the Vipers this season. The team has made 10 goals this season, and it is led by forward Oscar A. Moncayo of Colombia, midfielder Sergio A. Arriagada of Chile, and U.S. natives Zach Zorn (midfield) and team captain Adam M. Cheek (forward) from Tipton.
The Vipers are next in action on the road on June 1, visiting the Columbus Astray. They return home on June 8 to host FC Cincinnati Academy.
The Spring 2024 season for the semi-pro team will conclude with a road contest against Inter Columbus FC on June 16 and a home bout against the Indy Gladiators SC on June 23.
