#KokomoSummerReadingProgram

The Kokomo Howard County Public Library's Summer Reading Program is here! And there is literally something for readers to do every day this summer.

The program kicked off on Fri., June 7, but it runs through July 19, and participants can sign up anytime by visiting any KHCPL location.

This year's program is themed "Adventure Begins at Your Library," and in that spirit, each of the seven weeks of the program features a theme to help guide readers to new adventures.

The first week features compasses, maps, and hiking. The second focuses on campfires and s'mores. Following weeks feature woodland animals, mushrooms, stars, bugs, and sharks.

For those who prefer to track their reading progress electronically, they can download the Beanstack app at https://khcpl.beanstack.com/reader365. Instructions for using Beakstack can be found on the KHCPL website through the Summer Reading Program link.

Those who stick with it and complete the Summer Reading Program will enjoy a special reward at the end. On July 25, KHCPL and Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union will hold a Splish-Splash Final Bash at Kokomo Beach, offering free admission to diligent readers.
