The Howard County Sheriff’s Office arrested five juvenile males in connection with a series of vandalism incidents reported on the morning of Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Russiaville Youth Baseball Complex and multiple surrounding properties.
Deputies responded to the youth ballpark after reports of significant overnight damage. Upon arrival, deputies discovered extensive graffiti sprayed on dugouts, signage, and other structures within the complex. The graffiti included vulgar and explicit language. As the investigation expanded, additional vandalism was found at several locations throughout the Russiaville area, including a local basketball court, road signs, mailboxes, and private property along South 750 West and North Union.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Howard County Sheriff’s Office and Russiaville Town Marshal’s Office, investigators reviewed surveillance footage and followed up on leads provided by community members. These efforts led to the identification and apprehension of five juvenile suspects, whose ages range from 14 to 16.
Each juvenile has been charged with Criminal Mischief under Indiana Code 35-43-1-2(a)(1): Criminal Mischief – Pecuniary Loss of at least $750 but less than $50,000, a Class A Misdemeanor. All five juveniles were transported to the Kinsey Youth Center following their arrest.
