Through the Community Foundation of Howard County, 113 scholarships and 80 renewals from 87 scholarship funds totaling $689,309 have been awarded to 134 Howard County students for the 2024-2025 school year.
“Each of these recipients represent the values of determination and leadership that the Community Foundation strives to promote,” said Joe Dunbar, chair of the Scholarships Committee for the Community Foundation of Howard County. “We are deeply grateful to our donors for their generosity—because of them, these students have the support they need to pursue their dreams and make a lasting impact in their futures.”

Established in 1991, the Community Foundation of Howard County serves donors in Howard County through a dedicated County Services Committee made up of local residents. With support from a dedicated Scholarships Committee, the Services Committee helps guide local charitable efforts and scholarship distributions.
The Foundation is committed to building a permanent source of charitable funding to support the educational aspirations of Howard County students.
