Kokomo native returns home with The Peaceful Kings at Rhine Hall

Brother Dusty is returning to Kokomo, debuting his new band for his first hometown performance at Rhine Hall on Nov. 14. Born and raised in Kokomo, and now a Nashville, Tenn., native, Dustin McKee was originally known in the local music scene, playing in several bands and leading the local rock band “No Name Blues” before it transformed into “The Reveal.”

Brother Dusty formed his own band in October 2024, expanding into many new sounds. Since his move, McKee worked with 30 different bands and artists as a drummer, bassist, and singer. He also has worked to promote local bands and encouraged Nashville-area groups to play in Kokomo.

McKee is a former instructor at the Rhum Academy of Music and taught drums at Western, Eastern, and Maconaquah high schools. In Nashville, he works on staff for Grammy-winning country artist Sierra Ferrell, sharing a small portion of writer’s credits on her latest album.

Brother Dusty launched a solo project on Jan. 1, 2025, with a debut single, “WHOA.” He and his new band will perform on Friday, Nov. 14, at Rhine Hall Events, 507 N. Union St., with opener The Peaceful Kings. General admission tickets are $15. Pre-show VIP passes are also available for $25, which gives patrons an opportunity to see Dusty perform a solo acoustic set at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A session.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for general admission seating, and The Peaceful Kings open at 7:30 p.m. Brother Dusty is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. Tickets are for sale at www.RhineHallEvents.com.
