The Center Township Trustee’s Office presents its third annual Community Food Drive, beginning March 1. The food drive will collect much-needed resources for those in need.
Part of the trustee’s mission is to help members of the community remain food secure, which the office accomplishes through its Hand Up Food Pantry. The pantry located at 213 E. Jefferson St., is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants must make an appointment by calling 765-452-8259. A photo ID or proof of address is required.
Donations to support the pantry are being accepted during the Community Food Drive, which runs through March 31. Items requested include canned vegetables, fruit, beans, and meat, instant potatoes, canned soup, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, boxed macaroni and cheese, juices, and shelf-stable milk.
Donations may be delivered to the township office, 213 E. Jefferson St., Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or Friday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Monetary donations also are accepted. Please call 765-452-8359 for additional information.
