With more than 30 years of experience, their knowledgeable and licensed technicians have the expertise to fix any plumbing or sewer problem you may have.

Poets of all experience levels are invited to learn how to elevate their work with the help of spoken word artist, writer and poet Kenneth Woods.

Woods, also known as KennyFresh, will join the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library on Wednesday, April 8. His workshop will focus on using descriptive language surrounding sight, smell, and taste. Attendees will learn how to use words to describe the world around them with a focus on layered writing.

Woods has performed in the Midwest and states around the country. His work was shown at an international conference in Athens, Greece, and he has performed on live television. In 2021, three of his poems were accepted into the Indiana digital poetry archive, INverse, an archive curated by the Indiana Poet Laureate, the Indiana State Library, and the Indiana Arts Commission. Learn more about Woods and his work at refresherpoint.com.

The workshop will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 8 at the library’s South branch, located at 1755 E. Center Road. Register is requested and can be done online at khcpl.org under the “Events” tab.

This workshop is made possible thanks to generous support from the Indiana Humanities and the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Author Awards.
