This article is brought to you by the Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton, and Carroll Counties. Many donors choose to honor or remember someone special with a meaningful gift to the Community Foundation. Each month, those individuals are recognized in our Book of Memory. Tribute gifts can be made online, by mailed check or by visiting our office. Each county’s Book of Memory can be found on our website, and you can make your gift on our “Give Now” page. www.cfhoward.org/book-of-memory-howard | www.cfhoward.org/book-of-memory-clinton | www.cfhoward.org/book-of-memory-carroll
Come to the Strawberry Festival for more than just strawberries! Learn to be “The Help Until Help Arrives” by taking STOP THE BLEED training from Ascension St. Vincent EMS.
Find the CrisisReady table in front of the United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties at 125 N. Buckeye Street, located on the west side of the courthouse square. Complete the training and a survey to receive a free STOP THE BLEED supply item and to enter the drawing for a tourniquet or entire STOP THE BLEED kit.
Emergency kit supplies will be available to everyone, as long as supplies last. All supplies are donated by the Howard County Health Department.
Also, complete our art design! We have a garden scene in need of more flowers. Write self-care tips and/or an example of “Don’t be Scared, Be Prepared” on a flower or leaf sticky note and add it to our board.
The event takes place Fri., June 5, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
