Teen and youth athletes can take their game to the next level by attending Indiana University Kokomo summer athletic camps. With options including volleyball, basketball, and soccer, campers can learn from coaches and student athletes from highly ranked collegiate teams.

Athletic Director Heather Hayes, who also coaches IU Kokomo’s nationally ranked volleyball team, said the camps offer personal attention to every participant.

“Our goal isn’t just to pack camps with numbers,” she said. “We want every kid who comes here to feel welcomed, get personal attention, and leave better than when they arrived. Since these are local families and athletes from our area, we see it as an investment in our community as much as anything else We take a lot of pride in offering quality instruction and a great experience at an affordable cost for families.”

Camp options include:

Volleyball Camp, June 3-4, for incoming 6-8th graders, at the IU Kokomo Student Activities and Events Center

• June 3, setting from 9 to 11 a.m., hitting from noon to 2 p.m.

• June 4, passing from 9 to 11 a.m., defense from noon to 2 p.m., serving from 2-3:30 p.m.

Volleyball Camp, June 8-9, for incoming 9-12th graders, at the IU Kokomo Student Activities and Events Center

• June 8, setting from 9 to 11 a.m., hitting from noon to 2 p.m.

• June 9, passing from 9 to 11 a.m., defense from noon to 2 p.m., serving from 2-3:30 p.m.

Each session is limited to 50 participants. Cost is $40 per attendee for 1 clinic, $75 for two clinics, $100 for three, $120 for four, and $135 per attendee for five clinics. Women’s Basketball Camp, June 15-18, for incoming grades 1-9, at the IU Kokomo Student Activities and Events Center

• June 15, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., shooting camp for grades 5-9, $75

• June 16-18, 9 a.m. to noon, skills camp for grades 5-9, $75; 1 to 3 p.m. competitive camp for grades 5-9, $50

• June 17-18, 3:30-5:30 p.m., camp for grades 1-4, $35

Cost for those who sign up for both skills and competitive camp is $110. Cost of three camps is $160. Camp staff includes IU Kokomo Coach Lisa Pflueger, along with local coaches Daro Johnson, Charlie Hall, Brittany Barnard, Siera Daniel, and Anastacia Kirby. Register at go.iu.edu/bu6Fm6.

Soccer Camp, June 15-19 and July 6-9, for boys and girls in grades 1-8, at the Droplight Grand Park Sports Complex, Westfield

The women’s soccer team will host camp for boys and girls of all skill levels. The camp is designed to develop technical skills, game understanding, and confidence in a fun and competitive environment. Campers will train with college coaches and players while enjoying small-sided games, skill challenges, and team-building activities.

Men’s Basketball Camp, July 13-16 and July 20-23, at the Student Activities and Events Center
