While the Kokomo Creek Chubs have dropped their last two contests to the Chillicothe Paints by scores of 6-3 and 6-4, the club has continued to show resilience throughout the season.

Before the series against Chillicothe, the Creek Chubs rattled off three consecutive victories, defeating the Champion City Half Trax 5-3, the Terre Haute Rex 12-8 on the road, and the Danville Dans 7-6 in an exciting home matchup.

Through 29 games, Kokomo owns a 13-16 overall record and sits at 11-14 in conference play. The team has produced 177 runs while batting .259 as a club, complemented by an impressive .387 on-base percentage and .396 slugging percentage.

Power has also been a strength this season, as the Creek Chubs have launched 24 home runs. At Municipal Stadium, Kokomo has been competitive with an 8-8 home record, while posting a 5-8 mark on the road.

But this summer, the story in Kokomo has been about much more than baseball.

The Creek Chubs have transformed every home game into an experience that extends beyond the action on the field. Fans have been treated to exciting theme nights that have added energy and excitement to Municipal Stadium. From Beach Night to Western Night, each promotion has created a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that has given fans another reason to gather at the ballpark and make lasting memories.

This past Sunday evening was another example of how baseball has become a community gathering place. Abundant Life Church led a special praise and worship service at the stadium, bringing together people from across the community for an evening of faith, fellowship, and encouragement. Following the service, those in attendance enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show that lit up the night sky and capped off a memorable evening.

The fireworks displays have become a signature part of the Creek Chubs experience, giving families one more reason to stay after the final out and enjoy a summer night together. The excitement is far from over, as the organization now turns its attention to one of the biggest celebrations of the season with its upcoming Fourth of July festivities. Fans can expect another evening filled with competitive baseball, patriotic spirit, family-friendly entertainment, and an electric atmosphere that has become synonymous with Creek Chubs baseball.

Whether you’re following the team’s push through the second half of the season or simply looking for an unforgettable night out, Municipal Stadium continues to be one of Kokomo’s premier summer destinations.

Come ready to see the action Tuesday night, 6:35 p.m. start time.
