This is the season for charitable planning
Fall has always felt a little like a homecoming to me. Here at the Foundation, it’s the season when phones start ringing a bit more often and conversations get a little deeper. People are pausing to think about what this year meant to them and how they want to give back before the calendar turns.
October through December is when so much charitable planning happens, and giving ourselves room to think it through makes all the difference. Whether someone is making their very first gift or adding to a fund they’ve been building for years, a little planning now helps their generosity go further.
We want to make that as easy as possible, so we’ve gathered resources on our website for donors and advisors working through their year-end plans. Below you’ll find information on ways to give, answers to common questions, and how to reach our team.
To our professional advisor friends, thank you for the trust you place in us. This is a wonderful time to check in with clients about their giving goals. Gifts of appreciated stock, qualified charitable distributions from IRAs for clients 70½ and older, and contributions to donor advised funds can all be meaningful ways to give while also supporting a client’s tax and financial planning.
We love working alongside you to find the right fit for each client and to make the process feel simple. Every year, I’m reminded how generous the people of Howard, Clinton, and Carroll Counties are, and how many of you help make that generosity possible.
Thank you, as always, for being part of our story.
