Kokomo is getting ready for another exciting night of live entertainment as GrandSlam 2! takes over Kokomo Municipal Stadium this Saturday, August 15.
The action-packed event is being brought to the community by two men who grew up right here in Kokomo: Nick Kranz and his partner Chris Owens, also known as “The Alpha Athlete.” Together, they share a vision of creating something exciting, affordable, and family-friendly for the community they call home.
Gates to the stadium will open at 7 p.m., with the action beginning at 8 p.m. sharp. Families, friends, and fans of all ages are invited to come out, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience an evening designed to bring people together.
Tickets have been intentionally priced to remain affordable and accessible to the community. Fans can purchase tickets through the Kokomo Creek Chubs website or purchase them in person at the gate on event night.
GrandSlam 2! will offer several seating options, including ringside seating directly on the field for those who want to be close to the action, as well as traditional stadium seating. Full concessions will also be available throughout the evening, giving attendees the opportunity to grab food and refreshments while enjoying the event.
For Kranz and Owens, however, GrandSlam 2! is about more than simply putting on a show. It is an opportunity to give something back to the community that helped shape them.
The event is intended to welcome families from every background and provide a safe environment where people can come together, have fun, and enjoy something different right here in Kokomo.
Kranz, one of the visionaries behind GrandSlam 2! and the event coordinator, said the motivation is simple.
“I always hear complaining that there is nothing to do in Kokomo, so we are trying to give Kokomo something fun to do in a safe, family friendly environment!”
With affordable tickets, concessions, multiple seating options, and an evening built around community and entertainment, GrandSlam 2! is shaping up to be a night worth experiencing.
