The Howard County Historical Society presents America at 250: Howard County and Beyond. In this lecture series, it will explore topics related to America’s Semiquincentennial, including local stories and those on a national level.
HCHS invites the community to its third lecture, featuring Howard County Historian Gil Porter with his presentation “The Oldest People in Howard County Cemeteries.” In this lecture, he will explore the lives and experiences of 38 men and women born during or before the Revolution who later came to Howard County, Indiana, and are buried here.
The lecture takes place Wednesday, August 12, at 6 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium on the IU Kokomo campus, 2300 S. Washington St. This lecture is free and open to all ages.
