Palma Fay Ward, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 11:13 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born on November 24, 1953, to the late Donald C. and Rebecca L. (Harlan) Bushong in Tompkinsville, KY. On June 15, 1984, she married James Lee Roy Ward in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2013.
Palma was a Haworth graduate and lived as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, playing BINGO, and being outside. Palma was known to have a heart of gold and loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter Veronica (Roger Evans) Ward, siblings Beverly Norris, Donnie (Rose) Bushong, and Debra (John) Holt, grandchildren Miranda (Chris) Proffit, Mariah (Jesse John) Jenks, Justine Jenks, and Kiara Evans, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband James, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Stephen Norris, and granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Conard.
A funeral service celebrating Palma’s life will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo.
