Harry J. Richter Jr.
Harry J. Richter Jr., age 84, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent of Kokomo. He was born on August 8, 1941, to the late Harry J. Richter Sr. and Dorothy (Strahlem) Richter in Logansport.
He graduated from Logansport High School with the class of 1959. He married Peggy Barlow on May 23, 1985. Harry was an inspector for Chrysler for 37 years before retiring in 2001.
He is survived by daughter Marcia Smith; son Brian (Vicki) Barlow; son-in-law Tim Adams; brothers Bill (Ellen) Richter and Earl (Kathy) Richter; grandchildren Chad (Jenni) Barlow, Jeremy (Amber) Barlow, Adam (Alyx) Smith, Brittany (Keith) Suter, Derek (Katie) Smith, Grace Adams, Abigail Adams, and Turner Adams; great-grandchildren Jordan Barlow, Rachael (Lacie) Barlow, Mackenzie (Brooklyn) Barlow, Connor (Amanda) Barlow, Victoria Barlow, Cali Barlow, Hayley Suter, Callen Smith, Aubrey Suter, and Caden Smith; great-great grandchildren Vera Lambert and Grayson Hughes; several nieces and nephews; and several grand-dogs and grand-cats.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Richter; daughter Susie Adams; son-in-law Jerry Smith; great-grandson Carson Smith; his parents; and sister Karen Kesler.
There will be a visitation for Harry on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Ind. Inurnment will follow to Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
Rosario James Galletta
Rosario James Galletta, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo, Indiana. He was born March 10, 1954, in Titusville, PA, the son of the late Charles & Eleanor (Ciepleclowicz) Galletta.
Rosario was a graduate of Titusville High School and furthered his education by attending Clarion University. He spent his professional career in operations, specializing in window and door installations, a field where he applied his meticulous nature and strong work ethic. Rosario was very proud of his country and proudly served in the United States Air Force.
An avid outdoorsman, Rosario had a profound love for nature which was reflected in his hobbies. He was passionate about fishing, hunting, and building things with his hands. Additionally, he enjoyed panning for gold, an activity that combined his love for the outdoors with his keen sense of adventure.
Rosario was a beloved figure in his family, survived by his children Kate Lynch, Michael (Chelsea) Galletta, Theresa Galletta, and Sean (Lauren) Galletta; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Matthew) Birch; 13 grandchildren; and siblings Anthony Galletta, Charles Galletta Jr., Joseph Galletta, and Pamela Webb. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Rosario was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Kimberly; and his sister Angela O’Pelt.
In keeping with Rosario’s wishes, no services will be held. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
Kimberlee K. Atwell
Kimberlee K. Atwell, 64, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:38 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. On May 23, 1961, she was born in Logansport, IN, the daughter of William Douglas and Sandra K. (Koppe) Randolph. She married Victor W. Atwell on April 6, 2000, in Kokomo, and he survives.
She was a 1979 graduate of Western High School. She served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980-1984 attaining the rank of Corporal. Kimberlee worked in juvenile probation in Howard County since 2016. She loved gardening and riding her Harley. Kimberlee enjoyed being outside, hiking, site seeing, and taking photos. She was involved in shooting sports at Isaac Walton League. Kimberlee had a giving spirit and made decisions in her life to be of help to those in need.
Along with her husband of 26 years Victor, she is survived by her daughter Lauren Atwell; mother Sandy Randolph; stepchildren Dustin (Brittany) Atwell and Erin (Kenny) Riedel; grandchildren Adonis Atwell, Aubri Riedel, Quintin Riedel, and Kenzlynn Riedel; and several nieces and nephews.
Kimberlee was preceded in death by her grandmother Jaunelle Day; father William Randolph, and stepson Bradley Atwell.
