James “Jim” Andrew Long
James “Jim” Andrew Long, 71, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 12, 1954, the son of Roy and Margaret (Bolen) Long. On November 8, 1986, he married Penny Cheeke at Calvary Baptist Church in Kokomo, IN, and she survives.
Jim was a 1972 graduate of Haworth High School, and he attended Vincennes University. He worked at General Motors in the production line for 30+ years until he retired in 2006. Jim also worked at Honda as a mechanic. He was a family-oriented man and adored his grandchildren. He was proud that he traveled to all 50 states. His favorite hobbies were fishing and when he used to ride his Harley motorcycle. Jim is a very caring and loving man. He was heavily involved in volunteering at the Kokomo Rescue Mission by serving meals, delivering Christmas boxes, and repairing toys. He was awarded the United Way volunteer family of the year. Jim was known as the neighborhood bicycle repair man.
In addition to his wife Penny, Jim is survived by his children James (Ashleigh) Long Jr. and Catrina (Robert) Adkinson; grandchildren William Long and Leo Adkinson; siblings Cathy Snodgrass and Alice (Steve) Ericson; and niece Cristin (Dan) Johns.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Margaret Long and infant brother Eddie.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Crossroads Community Church-Downtown Kokomo Campus, 116 N. Main St., Kokomo, with Pastor Mike Fugua and Pastor Caleb Maple officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Rosemary Miller
Rosemary Miller, age 76, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away on November 13, 2025, at Vernon Manor in Wabash. She was born on July 24, 1949, in Elwood, Indiana, to Noah Elsworth and Carrie June (Gillian) Miller. Rosemary grew up on a farm near Atlanta, Indiana.
Despite losing her eyesight at birth, Rosemary developed a profound love for music. She was able to play the organ with a particular fondness for Gospel music, the sounds of Lawrence Welk, and country western tunes. Additionally, she enjoyed listening to television sitcoms, soap operas, and sports broadcasts.
Rosemary is survived by her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Schmitt of Tipton; her niece Debby Netherton and her husband Steve; as well as her great-nephews Brandon Netherton and his wife KayLee and Drew Netherton and his wife Rachel.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 17, at Arcadia Cemetery, with Steve Brown presiding. Visitation will take place on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.

Randy “Yogi” Huggler
Randy “Yogi” Huggler, 66, of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home. He was born in Kokomo on July 28, 1959, the son of Joe and Sue Huggler.
Yogi was a 1977 graduate of Tri-Central High School and a 1983 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Journalism. He had a long career as a sportswriter and editor at several newspapers in Indiana, Illinois, and Arizona, retiring in 2021. Beginning at the Tipton Tribune, he also worked at newspapers in Linton, Muncie, Columbus, Connersville, Greenwood, and Elwood in Indiana, Effingham, Ill., and Prescott, Casa Grande, and Bullhead City in Arizona.
Yogi had a life-long passion for baseball, as a player, coach, umpire, and fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals. Yogi enjoyed playing golf, photography, trips to Arizona, and family gatherings.
Yogi is survived by his mother Sue Huggler of Kokomo; siblings Lyndall (Betsy Seiders) Huggler of Pittsburgh, and Linda Huggler of Kokomo; niece Kimberly (Andrew Rashoff) Huggler of St. Louis; and nephew Jason Huggler of Monroe, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Huggler, in January.

Norman John Bailey
Norman John Bailey, 71, of Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent – Indianapolis with his wife at his side. He was born September 19, 1954, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of J.L. and Marjorie (Worman) Bailey. On February 12, 2001, in Key West, Florida, he married Julie E. Andreas, and she survives.
Norman graduated from Kokomo High School in 1972. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier. Norman previously worked at Clark Oil, McClain’s Trucking, Vega Construction, and Evans Bottle Shop. Norman was a racing enthusiast and flagman extraordinaire at the Kokomo Speedway, Crown Point Speedway, and Montpelier Speedway. His love of racing led Norman to become an owner and promoter of the Miami County Speedway. He was a Parrothead that enjoyed scuba diving and was known to be a charcuterie king. Norman was wonderful storyteller who will be missed by many.
Along with his wife Julie Bailey, Norman is survived by brother Jeff (Susie) Bailey; uncle James (Margie) Stroup; and cousins Kathy Brannon and Chris Kvidera.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws Mac and Shirley Andreas.
Norman’s celebration of life gathering will pause for a service at 5:30 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Chaplain David Cochran officiating. Patricia “Pat” Lee (Richardson) Hoel
Patricia “Pat” Lee (Richardson) Hoel, 92, of Kokomo, passed away 10:35 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Waterford Health Campus in Kokomo. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Ivan E. and Barbara E. (West) Richardson. On January 6, 1951, she married Dale William Hoel and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2023.
Pat graduated from Houghton Lake High School in Michigan. She was the best homemaker and ultimate caretaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was passionate about traveling and playing golf. She was a member of Green Acres Golf Club, the Barbettes Golf League and Ricettes Golf League. She was also a member of the Burlington Community Club. Pat was a very organized lady who prioritized her fitness. Her favorite hobbies were bowling, gardening, refurbishing furniture, and shooting the bull while drinking martinis. Pat will be remembered for being a stoic lady with the best grin.
She is survived by her daughters Pamela Johnston and Glenda Murphy; grandchildren Jennifer (Chad) Gaddis, Cassandra (Christian) O’Neal, Phillip Ratcliff, and Calvin Murphy; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marilyn Money; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Barbara Richardson; daughter Brenda (Bill) Harness; brother-in-law Tom Murphy; brothers Wally Richardson, Bud Richardson, Kenneth Richardson, and Alston Richardson; and sister Dorothy Abbey.
