Catherine Lynn White, 69, of Greentown, peacefully passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Ascension Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born March 6, 1956, in Portland, IN, to Ira Lee and Virgie Irene White.
Catherine earned her Master’s in Pharmacology from Butler University. She proudly worked 40 years as a pharmacist before retiring from IU Health Tipton Hospital.
Beyond her professional achievements, Catherine’s life was anchored by her devotion to Jesus. Her faith and her church community were a paramount in her life.
Catherine found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved hiking and birdwatching throughout Indiana’s state parks; Pokagon being her favorite destination. When she wasn’t in nature, she could be found tending to her garden, lost in a mystery novel, or cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks.
Of the many things that brought Catherine joy, the love of her family ranked highest. Catherine cherished her family. Her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her children and her beloved granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughters Virginia (Isaac) Hanny and Vivianne (Macaiah) White and granddaughter Jadeleigh White.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., January 20, 2026, and again on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McGrawsville Community Church, 9377 S 300 E, Amboy, IN. A celebration of life will be held at the church Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Ryan Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown.
