Charlie’s early years were spent in Indianapolis, where he was lovingly raised by his late parents Bobbie R. and Anna Abel. As the years unfolded, he was blessed with a loving daughter Heather (Darrell) Grable, and he was a cherished brother to Ronald Abel, Steven Abel, and the late Judy Hensley. An avid lover of the outdoors, Charlie found his greatest joy in the simplicity of nature. Camping and boating were among his favorite pursuits, allowing him to bask in the tranquility of the environment. He was also known for his adventurous spirit, often going mudding on the trails, which brought out his playful side. Above all, Charlie cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and daughter, creating memories that would be treasured for generations to come.
Those who knew Charlie would describe him as a loving, handy, and creative soul. His ability to fix anything that needed repair, coupled with his imaginative mind, made him the go-to person for family and friends. His loving nature was not just shown through his deeds but also felt in the warmth of his embrace and the kindness in his eyes.
Charlie’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the laughter, guidance, and comfort he provided.
