Elfriede Bagley

Elfriede Bagley, 98, Kokomo, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her home. She was born July 21, 1927, the only child of Karl and Maria (Peter) Landmann in Kuppenheim, Germany. On August 21, 1948, she married Paul M. Bagley in Neckargemund, Germany. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2000.

In May 1952 she became a proud citizen of the United States. Elfriede was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was active in several of their ministries. She loved to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, kayaking, and taking care of her yard. She spent many hours playing Euchre which was her favorite card game. Elfriede also enjoyed cooking and was a great baker.

Elfriede is survived by her daughter Carla Bagley of Kokomo and several cousins in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, February 12, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 W., Kokomo, IN 46902. The Rosary will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon on Thursday at the church with Rev. Fr. Peter Vanderkolk the celebrant. Herbert Vernon Fausett

Herbert Vernon Fausett, 100, Kokomo, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo. He was born January 19, 1926, in Clinton County to Arnold Dewey and Nellie (Morris) Fausett. On March 4, 1950, he married Patricia Ann Whiteman, who preceded him in death on January 8, 2014.

Herb proudly served his country as a Quartermaster Third Class in the United States Navy in WWII from 1944 until 1946. He spent his civilian career working at Haynes International, retiring after 30 years of service. Herb enjoyed bowling as well as being outdoors, whether he was fishing, golfing, or spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his loving and generous nature.

He is survived by his sons Jeffery Fausett and Jerry (Trish) Fausett; grandchildren Ryan (Britney) Kuhn, Bradford (Heather) Fausett, Morgan (Corey) Crum, Allison (Jake) Mathews, Justin Fausett, Jennifer Barker, Mandi Strain, Tara Willett, Chad Snyder, Brandon Daugherty, Thomas Fausett, Bradley Fausett, Tiffanie Rayl, Brandon Fausett, Tristan (Dave) Stevens, Joshua (Angelia) Quinn, Tania Quinn, and Jessica (Ken) Quinn McKain; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers Lowell “Wayne” (Barbara) Fausett and Robert “Gene” (Rita) Fausett; sister Viola Jarvis; and sister-in-law Peggy Fausett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children Rita and Joey Fausett; grandson Justin Quinn; siblings Arnold “Bud” (Beverly) Fausett, Mary (Dave) Moredock, Vaughn (Mary Ethel) Fausett, Paul Fausett, Arthur “Morrie” (Gini) Fausett, and Herman (Fredonna) Fausett; as well as brother-in-law Jack Jarvis.

Funeral services celebrating Herb’s life will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Ernest R. Batman

Rev. Ernest R. Batman, 98, of Frankfort, passed away on February 6, 2026, at The Crossings at Noblesville, Indiana. He was born May 24, 1927, in Crawford County, Indiana, to Ernest Martin & Corda Maria (Wisemen) Batman. He married Ada Mae Johnson on July 10, 1948, and she preceded him in death on June 4, 2014.

Rev. Batman was a 1945 graduate of New Salisbury High School in New Salisbury, Indiana, a 1951 graduate of Frankfort Pilgrim College, Frankfort, Indiana, 1951 graduate of Taylor University, Upland, Indiana, and a 1963 graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, receiving his MA. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he proudly served his country from 1946-1947.

Rev. Batman taught public school in Tipton County and was a substitute teacher in the Indianapolis school system for seven years. A longtime member of the Wesleyan Church, he retired after 44 years serving the Pilgrim Holiness & The Wesleyan Church. He had pastored in Marion, Windfall, Indianapolis & Kokomo. He was Superintendent of the Indiana Central District for 17 years and was a delegate to the General Conference of the Wesleyan Church eight times.

Rev. Batman is survived by his children Ronald (Marlene) Batman of Madison, IN, Barbara (Oliver) Howe of Indianapolis, Mark (Felicia) Batman of Nashville, IN, Kevin (Teresa) Batman of Greer, SC, Beth (Jeff) Gormong of Noblesville, IN, sister Velma Snider of Franklin, TN, grandchildren Carissa (Evan) Hawkins, SaraBeth (Nicholas) Krudy, Michael Colter, Luke (Elizabeth) Batman, Emily (Kenneth) Cox, Matthew (Sara) Batman, Benjamin Batman, Bradley (Lauren) Batman, Bailey Joy Batman, Braden Batman, Jaena Gormong, Johanna Kelsey Gormong, Jessica Gormong, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Kent R. Batman, sisters Thelma Batman, Jewell Howe, and brother Wayne Batman.

Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., followed by a service at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, Fishers Campus, 11721 Olio Road, Fishers, Indiana, 46037. Dr. Jim Lo and Dr. Jo Anne Lyon will officiate. Burial will be Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Kraft Graceland Cemetery, in New Albany, IN. Geneva Philpot

Geneva Philpot, age 85, passed away with her family by her side at her home in Mishawaka. Geneva was born August 24, 1940, in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, to the late Manie and Maimie (Nediffer) Bell. She worked for more than 60 years, caring for others as a Nurse’s Aide.

She is survived by her children Tiny “Red” Johnson of Mishawaka, Sandra Hogan of Louisville, Kentucky, and Brenda (Ronnie) Branum of Mobile, Alabama, and her brother Clyde Bell of Kokomo, Indiana. Affectionately known to her grandchildren as “Mamaw Neva,” she is also survived by the grandchildren she adored Misty (Mike Hardy) Johnson of Climax, Kentucky, Julie (Jim) Copenhaver of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, David (Melissa) Johnson of Mishawaka, Elizabeth (Mike) Nichols of Pique, Ohio, Tamara Givens and Ashley Diamond, both of Louisville, Kentucky, and Christopher Haynes of South Bend, along with 13 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Philpot, her son James Bond, and her siblings Clifford, Jesse, Claude, Joe, Clinton, Glen, Jeanette, Geraldine, Arlene ,and ErmaLee, as well as her grandchildren Jason Foster, Jeremy Haynes, and James “Cookie” VanWinkle.

Geneva enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and had many interests that reflected her spirited personality. Whenever she found a penny heads up, she would slip it into her shoe for good luck. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her flower gardens, as well as hunting, camping, fishing, playing cards and BINGO. She was also a collector of Precious Moments figurines and was extremely fond of Cadillacs, especially her canary yellow Coupe de Ville that she drove for many years. Always one to enjoy a bargain, Geneva loved finding new-to-her treasures at local thrift shops.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes to make others laugh, often playing pranks and practical jokes on her family and friends. Always in style, Geneva enjoyed coordinating her purses and shoes with her daily outfits. She was generous, took great pride in her home, and kept it spotless for her family. Geneva loved cooking meals for her family and she never slowed down. Never one to mince words, Geneva spoke her mind and told it like it was.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to her 6:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home in Mishawaka.



Frederick Gauvin Sharp

Frederick Gauvin Sharp, also known by some as Fred, others by Rick, of Subiaco, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 29, 1952, in Union County, Tennessee, to the late Willie Conrad Sharp and Beatrice (Walker) Sharp. He was 73 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters Mary Jane, Helen, Maggie, and Pauline; and two brothers Randy and Howard.

Fred retired from Gerber, Inc. in Fort Smith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting — especially deer hunting — and was a member of Harmony Assembly of God Church. “He Was Loved by All, Missed Forever.”

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, at Harmony Assembly of God Church, located south of Paris. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tammy Frederick and Linda James Ritter. Cremation will follow after the funeral service. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of almost 44 years Starla (Rowan) Sharp; a daughter Starlene Seigrist and husband Rick of Subiaco; a son, Randy Lee “Boone” Sharp of Fayetteville; a bonus daughter Teresea Cale of Paris; a sister Diane Orr of Knoxville, Tennessee; two brothers Jeff Sharp of Kokomo, Indiana, and Sterling Sharp and wife Pat of Knoxville, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren Kaylee, Cooper, Sayde, Sanea, Jaicie, Autumn, Jayden, Kiarie, Matthew, Rikki, and Mason; two bonus granddaughters Jayline Brackett and Arora Deckert and husband Seth; and two bonus twin great-grandchildren Jasmine and Jasper Deckert.

Pallbearers are Terry Ritter, Robby Patterson, Jeff Sharp, and Mike Pettigrew.

Honorary pallbearers are Jason Varnell, Bryan Patterson, Isaac Rowan, and Dylan Odom.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral homes.

Patricia L. Wilder

Patricia L. Wilder, 94, of Albany, Georgia, died 4:00 a.m., Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Willson Hospice Home in Albany, Georgia. She was born on September 7, 1931, in Marion, Indiana, to Everett and Edna (Purdy) Cooper.

Patty married Keith Wilder in 2005, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2018. She worked as the office manager for Ambassador Steel in Kokomo, Indiana, where she was known for her dedication and steady presence. Patty was a member of the Open Door Fellowship in Converse, Indiana, and was widely regarded as a true prayer warrior whose faith guided every part of her life. It was that faith, love, and non-judgmental acceptance that would draw people to her.

Family was always Patty’s top priority, and she poured her love into every relationship she held dear. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog Angel Annie, who brought her great comfort and joy. Patty loved flowers and enjoyed gardening, and even as she began to lose her vision, she still found a way to enjoy her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy R. (David) Geist of Albany, Georgia; three grandchildren Kari (Gregg) Vanover of Warren, Indiana, Neil Shorb of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jennifer (Billy) DeHart of Bluffton, Indiana; and four great-grandchildren Haley Vanover, Mia Vanover, Destinee Burlette, and Hadley DeHart. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Steven Lynch and Michael Lynch, one brother, and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Entombment will be in Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery. Friends may call 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Allen L. Ellison

Allen L. Ellison, 71, of Walton, passed away at his home Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born May 16, 1954, to Emerson and Lillas (Dyke) Ellison. Allen graduated from Lewis Cass High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from Purdue University. He worked in the farm lending field for many years, retiring from FSA. His passion in life was farming and fishing. He was a member of the “Wild bunch,” a group of friends that enjoyed life to the fullest, fishing and having a good time together.

Surviving family include his two sons Alex (Amanda) Ellison and Adam Ellison. He is also survived by his grandchildren Davis, Colt, Case, Braelyn, Gage, Jack, and Walker; one great-grandchild Wrenley; and two brothers Darrell (Kelly) and Arnold (Beth) Ellison. He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife Annalie Ellison.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Allen will be laid to rest in the Galveston Cemetery.
