Otis L. Porter
Otis L. Porter, 90, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away at 8:11 a.m., Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 30, 1935, the son of Roy A. and Gwendoline (Eckles) Porter. On December 25, 1971, he married Barbara A. (Cowgill) Bridegroom at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kokomo, IN and she survives.
Otis retired in 1992 as a group leader at GM–Delco Electronics after 30½ years of service. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Otis served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1958. He enjoyed playing music and played different instruments. Otis won several state and national tournaments playing horseshoes and was active at the Eagles Lodge, where he enjoyed bowling and was one of the top bowlers. He liked watching Western movies and playing Euchre and games with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Donna Burns; son Tony (Velda) Porter; daughter-in-law Debbie Neighbors; granddaughters Vicki Gauvey, Barbara Ann Gray, Jessica McVay, and Brittney (Daniel) Yates; grandson Shawn (Nucole) Neighbors; several great-grandchildren; stepson Michael Bridegroom; stepdaughters Cristina (Jim) Moore and Jennifer (Brian) Beaver; one step-granddaughter; three step-grandsons; brother Gale Hendricks; stepbrother Roy Porter; and stepsister Vickey Roop.
Otis was preceded in death by his mother Gwendoline (Eckles) Porter-Hendricks; father Roy A. Porter; daughter Deana Porter; son Steve Neighbors; three grandsons James Gauvey, Christopher Gauvey, and Scott Neighbors; step-granddaughter Mandy Moore; brothers Larry Porter and Roy Porter; half-sister Carly Hillis; and stepbrother Danny Porter.
A funeral service celebrating Otis’ life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 705 Southway Blvd. East, Kokomo, Indiana, with Pastor John Dreyer officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo V.F.W. Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Royal (Roy) W. Quinn
Royal (Roy) W. Quinn, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2026. Born on June 12, 1931, in Scandinavia WI, he was the son of Clay and Grace (Roe) Quinn. On September 13, 1958, he married Mary L.Quinn, who survives.
Roy graduated from Amherst high School in Wisconsin and worked at Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee until being drafted by the U.S. Army, where he served in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954 and received two Bronze Service Stars. After completing computer training at Manpower Business School, he began his career with General Motors in Oak Creek, WI, in 1960, was transferred to Kokomo in 1972, and retired from General Motors–Electronic Data Systems in 1991. Roy was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and Golden K Kiwanis.
Along his wife Mary, Roy is survived by his son Steven (Donna) Quinn of Newington NH; son-in-law David (Mary) Kleiman of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter Mandy Kleiman of Indianapolis, IN; grandson Joshua Quinn of Manchester, NH; bonus granddaughter Amy Kleiman of Indianapolis IN; sister-in-law Phyllis Ewig of Iron Mountain, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Lori Jean Kleiman; sisters Bernice (Vic) Siegel, Isla Rae (Gordon) Dahlen, and Joan (Lee) Bestul; brother-in-law John Ewig; and sisters-in-law Arlene (Paul) Heitz, June (Richard) Feak, and Wilma (Verne) Bates.
A memorial service celebrating Roy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 705 E. Southway Boulevard, with Pastor John Dryer officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends may visit the family from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

Steven Rand Osbon
Steven Rand Osbon, 76, of Tipton, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at IU Health–Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Tipton on March 5, 1950, to Charles & Beverly (Parnell) Osbon. Steve married Joyce Graber on June 13, 1970, and she died one day short of their 55th anniversary on June 12, 2025.
Steve worked construction for the Shiel Sexton Company, retiring in 2022. Steve was a huge fan of the Pacers, Colts, Indiana University, and NASCAR. He especially loved the Chicago Cubs. But most of all, Steve loved time spent with family, especially at the family cottage at Beaver Dam.
Steve is survived by his two children Tony Osbon (wife Julie) and Dawn Osbon, all of Tipton; six grandchildren Clayton (Kelsey) Lowe, Taylor Osbon, Austin (Kaylie) Barr, Blaine White, Makayla Osbon, and Cayden Osbon; three great-grandchildren Paisleigh Bell, Cooper Lynn, and Avery Barr; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; one brother-in-law Jerry Graber and wife Diana of Kokomo; and one sister-in-law Jeannie Moore and husband Moe of Kokomo.
A memorial service for Steve will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Online condolences for Steve’s family may be left on his obituary page at www.young-nichols.com.

Jason Charles Richardson
Jason Charles Richardson, age 55, of Kokomo, IN, passed away on April 19, 2026. Jason truly loved life and found his greatest joy in his family. He was a man who appreciated the simple things and lived each day with a kind heart.
Born in Oneonta, AL, on March 9, 1971, Jason was the son of the late Jimmie Richardson, Sr. and Mary (Miller) Carpenter. He is survived by his mother Mary Carpenter of Kokomo. He was preceded in death by his stepfather and “Dad” Joseph Carpenter.
Jason’s legacy of love continues through his five children: Bryan Richardson and Aleta Rogers both of Kokomo; Tiffany (Shane) Johnson of Tompkinsville, KY; Shelbie Richardson of Columbia, SC; and Callie Richardson of Kokomo. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren.
Jason is also survived by his siblings: brother Jimmie (Sherri) Richardson of Lawrenceburg; and sisters Missy (Ray Dean) Myers of Kokomo and Tina (William) Mitchell of Peru. He was cherished by an extended family and many friends near and far.
Jason will be remembered for his gentle, yet occasionally mischievous, spirit and the unwavering love he held for those closest to him.
In keeping with Jason’s wishes, no public services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory in Kokomo.
