Joyce Ellen (Walker) King
Joyce Ellen (Walker) King, 83 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 1:47 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at her home. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on December 13, 1942, the daughter of the late Glenwood Walker and Mary Catherine (Utterback) Phillips.
Joyce attended Southport High School nearly her whole life and graduated from Howe High School. She retired from General Motors in 1999 as a stock chaser and buyer after more than 30 years of service. After retirement, she worked as a caregiver in the Indianapolis area. She had a good sense of humor and easily made friends. Her favorite hobbies were playing cards, landscaping, gardening, and shopping from Amazon. She adored her pet cats. She had a fascination with and collection of ceramic frogs. She formerly attended Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children Shelley (David) Butts, Greg King, and Kim (Danny) Taylor; grandchildren Karlie (Sergio Rios) Pell, Chris King, Shane (Eria) Pell, Hannah (Rayonte Bell) King, Kaci Taylor, Tori (John Geyer) Bogue, Shelby (Ben) Kline, Shawnee (Zach Hunley) Butts, and Jessie (Cole) Meeks; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; siblings Ronnie (Lorna) Walker, John (Denise) Coulson, Marilynn Jackson, and Mark Owens; cousins Connie Campbell, Cheryl French, David (Loretta) Sommers, Cindy (Alan) Moss, and Debby (Larry) Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; very good friend Gary Strebin; cousin Sandy Smith; grandmother Sylvia Utterback; and grandchildren Blake Taylor and Kain Strong.

Clara Jane Lemley Richmond
Clara Jane Lemley Richmond passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91. She was born in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, on March 23, 1935, to the parents of Dewey and Martha Price Lemley.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jane enjoyed gardening, walking, or just being outside. She loved Jesus with all her heart and was a member of St. Luke’s UMC, now called The ConneXion Church, and the Builders Class since 1970.
Jane and Grant were married on October 8, 1952, and spent 73 years together. They had three children: Linda, Deborah, and Ed.
She is survived by her husband Grant of Kokomo, IN; children Linda Kay VanNatter (Randy) of Kokomo, IN, and Ed Richmond (Danielle) of Spanish Fork, UT; beloved grandchildren Amy (Paul) Barber of Kokomo, IN, Brad (Jodi) Hall of Garards Fort, PA, Miranda Hall of West Virginia, Kari (Marc) Lysse of Dunwoody, GA, Jodi (Roy) Rogers of Kokomo, IN, Kayla Richmond of Midvale, UT, Drew (Princess) Richmond of Noblesville, IN, and Kelcie (Zach) Foote, Kylie, Landon, and Britton Richmond all of Spanish Fork, UT. They were blessed with 14 great-grandchildren Abigail (Kevin) Esser, Taylor (Christian) Russell, Noah (Kylee) Stephenson, Isabella Rogers, Emily (Shon) Jervis, Phoebe Rogers, Roy Rogers IV, Quinn Lysse, Owen Lysse, Halle Chidester, Zak (Emma) Chidester, Lucas (Payge) Hall, Isaac Hall, and Alexis Desantis; six great-great grandchildren Adelaide, Charlotte, Mabel and Eden Esser, and Maverick and Baby Boy Russell; the extended family of Jeff and Terri Rude, including Kristin (James) Rossman, Korin King, and all of their children; and a host of close friends who were like family.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Deborah Ann Richmond Hall; and siblings Anna Lou, Lois Mae, Charles, and Allen Dale.
Jane’s family would like to give an extra big thanks to Southern Care Hospice Services for their love and compassion, especially Dakota and Destiny.
Visitation for Jane will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, on April 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.
Rodney Lee Crase
Rodney Lee Crase, age 51, a resident of Peru, Indiana, formerly of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Kokomo, Indiana.
Rodney was born the son of the late Burlen and Jewel Dean Cole Crase. Grandparents John and Ethel Mae Cole, Earl and Geneva Miller, and Clayton and Betty Crase also preceded him in death.
Those left to mourn include siblings Carolene (Clay) Parkman of Peru, Indiana, Burlen Crase Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, Robyn Gail Ousley (Troy) of Kokomo, Indiana, nieces Brittany Parkman of Peru, Indiana, and Jessica (Parkman) Staples of Annapolis, Maryland, nephews Keyton Ousley of Peru, Indiana, and Braxton Ousley of Peru, Indiana, the staff of Indiana Mentor Care Facility, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Rodney Lee Crase will be conducted Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 11:30 AM from the grounds of the Cole Cemetery on Middle Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.

David Wayne Kellar
David Wayne Kellar, 70, of Kokomo, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo. He was born in 1955, the son of Raymond Kellar and Mary Helen (Carico) Miner. In 1975, he married Janice “Jan” Shockey at St. Joan of Arc Church, and she survives.
David was a 1973 graduate of Haworth High School and earned an Associate’s Degree at Indiana University of Kokomo. He attended the University of Louisville, Southern Police Institute, and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He proudly served for the Kokomo Police Department for 28 years. Much of his career was devoted to various juvenile programs, including the Police Athletic League and DARE. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of the SHOCAP and SAFE policy programs. This work led to his service with the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Programs (OJJDP) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). He instructed police officers around the country about the Amber Alert program and various crimes against juveniles programs, including Internet Crimes against Children. In 1994, he was awarded the American Legion Officer of the Year Award for the State of Indiana. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and Fraternal Order of Police-Kokomo. He also served on the board of the Friendship Home for several years. David faithfully and boisterously celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with his special friends for many years. He always had a story to tell. He enjoyed traveling and accomplished visiting all 50 states.
Along with his wife Jan, he is survived by his children Mary Ann Brown and Susie (John) Luyster; grandchildren Jackson Brown, Zach Brown, Bobby Brown, Katie Luyster, and Abby Luyster; mother Mary Helen Miner; sister Kathy (Rande) Smith; sister-in-law Debbie (Steve) Tate; brothers-in-law Butch (Diane) Shockey and Ted Shockey; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father; son Michael Patrick Kellar; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington St., Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Peter Vanderkolk as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. A rosary service will take place at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the funeral home. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Thomas “Tommy” Allen Ohmer III
Thomas “Tommy” Allen Ohmer III, 22, of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was born on November 30, 2003, the son of Thomas Allen Ohmer Jr. and Candice Armstrong and stepmother Kelly Ohmer.
Tommy worked as a laborer at Ohmer Drywall. He enjoyed writing music and riding dirtbikes and four-wheelers. Tommy loved spending time with his family, especially going to Indiana Dunes State Park with his dad.
Tommy is survived by his parents; siblings Caitlyn Armstrong, Caidyn Armstrong, Alyvia Ohmer, Jayla Armstrong, Taylor Ohmer, Jaxton Cooper, and Austin Ohmer; grandparents Tom Ohmer Sr., Marty Armstrong, Telmon Nix, and Jean & John Kaylor; nephews Traylen, Kaicen, and Kazai Nichols; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Marsha “Mimi” and friend James “JJ” Gray.
A funeral service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial in Albright Cemetery will follow.
