Charles Phillip Penn, Bonnie Louise Williams, Joyce Ann Martin, Dorothy Lee Purvis

Charles Phillip Penn

Charles Phillip Penn, 50, of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at North Woods Village in Kokomo.

Born April 12, 1976, in Lafayette, Indiana, he was the son of Phillip L. Penn and Sandra Sue (Snyder) Penn, and his bonus mom Terri (Jones) Penn.

Surviving family includes his mother Terri Penn; brothers Tim (Fonda) Penn, Dennis (Joann) Penn, and Boyd (Linda) Penn; sister Kristi (Adam) Ellington; stepsisters Jodi Fivecoate and Beth Ann Justice; along with several extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Sandra; brother Steven Penn; and sister-in-law Vicky Penn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Gundrum Funeral Home with Jeff Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.

Bonnie Louise Williams

Bonnie Louise Williams, 81, Kokomo, passed away at 4:14 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Community Heart & Vascular in Indianapolis. She was born January 12, 1945, in Logansport, IN, the daughter of the late Merle & Mable (Cripe) Fisher. On July 1, 1989, she married Justin Williams, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2009.

Bonnie retired from the Salvation Army, where she worked in the warehouse. She was an avid reader, loved movies — especially old classics — and watching Jeopardy. Bonnie also enjoyed embroidery, Country music, flowers — especially lilacs — and looked forward to family gatherings.

Bonnie is survived by her children Julia (Duwayne) Richardson, Robert (Denise) Name, and Jerry (April) Name; grandchildren Jered (Cassandra) Kimmel, Candace (Mitchell) Groves, Cory Kimmel, Nathan (Candace) Name, Serena (Danielle) Richardson-Shaw, Shane Richardson, Kara (Em Middleton) Name, Hayle Name, Andrea Taylor, Angela (Chad) Freeman, Alexandra (Trevor) Kincaid, and Jakob Name; great-grandchildren Preston Kimmel, Brooklynn Groves, Jacquelynn Groves, Jocelynn Groves, Freya Kimmel, Emily Freeman, Sophia Williamson, Jackson Williamson, and Sterling Richardson-Shaw. She is also survived by her sister Lois Keeler, along with many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Justin; children Jacqueline Kimmel and Edward Name; several siblings; and brother-in-law James Keeler.

Special thanks to those at Kokomo Healthcare and Wellbrooke Kokomo who loved and cared for Bonnie like family.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Tim Tranbarger officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joyce Ann Martin

Joyce Ann Martin, 82, Kokomo, passed away in her home at 1:24 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was born in Richlands, Virginia, on Saturday, October 2, 1943, to Cecil and Agnes (Lester) Lambert. On May 18, 1963, she married Paul H. Martin, and he survives.

She attended Abundant Life Church of Kokomo. Joyce owned and managed Marbrook Campground alongside her husband for 40 years. Joyce enjoyed going on cruises, singing, and dancing. She loved spending her winters in Florida. More than anything though, Joyce was dedicated to her family as a loving wife, mother, and mammy. She was very special to her family and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband Paul H. Martin of Kokomo; daughter Missy (Reed) Jackson of Kokomo; grandchildren Brittani (Ryan) Horner of Kokomo, Brooke (Paul) Beverly of Kokomo, Brylee Riebe, Jace Jackson, Kai Jackson, and Ayla Jackson; great-grandchildren Rya Cruea and Gatlen Horner; sisters Janice (Dale) Smith of Gas City and Judy Gunter of Marion; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Agnes Lambert; brothers Jerry A. (Cathy) Lambert and James P. Lambert; and brothers-in-Law Rick Baber and Zenas Gunter.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Joyce’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Charlie Riley officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.

Dorothy Lee Purvis

Dorothy Lee Purvis passed on May 14, 2026, at the age of 72, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Kokomo on June 23, 1953, to late Thomas Lee Barlow and Phyllis Irene (Addison) Barlow, and she survives. Dorothy married Jeffrey Eugene Purvis, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Dorothy retired from General Motors in 2002 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the UAW Local #292. Dorothy attended Family Worship Center and enjoyed watching televangelists. She loved Jesus with her whole heart.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time on the beach. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.

Dorothy is survived by her son Jeffrey (Stephanie) Purvis; grandchildren Jordie Purvis and Tristan Purvis; great-granddaughter Vada Jackson; mother Phyllis Irene Barlow; brother Thomas (Tamara) Barlow; sister Pamela Sue Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Thomas Lee Barlow.

Family will have a private graveside service at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
