Michael “Mike” Kent Wright
Michael “Mike” Kent Wright, 79, of Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 12, 1946, the son of Ervin and Mary Margaret (Knipher) Wright. On October 30, 1966, he married Suzanne (Leslie) Wright at Beamer Methodist Church in Kokomo, and she survives.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of Northwestern High School. Mike worked at Chrysler Casting for several years until he and Suzy started their own business. Wright’s Corporate Cleaning Inc. began in 1976 and has been a successful and strong business for 50 years. He loved his customers and made many lifelong friends. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, and telling jokes to people. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He loved the Lord and was loyal and loving to everyone he knew. He was very proud of his family business and liked being able to train his kids and grandkids in the way of the business. He was very passionate and committed to his work and customers.
Along with his wife Suzanne, he is survived by his children Michael Todd Wright (Amber Pyle), Shannon (Vince) Shrader, Brent (Rachel) Wright, and Tiffany (Richie) Myers; grandchildren Brittany (Jordan) Brooks, Mason Wright, Blake Shrader, Cody Shrader, Triston Myers, Daizee Myers, and Elliana Myers; and great-grandchildren Jaxen Brooks, Oliver Brooks, Ashton Brooks, and Everett Brooks.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Carol Ann (Bob) Whitehead; and brothers Bud Wright and Joe Wright.
A funeral service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Center Road Church of Christ, 899 W. 300 S, Kokomo, with Pastor Lynn Brust officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church. A private comital service will take place in Albright Cemetery following cremation. William Arthur “Bill” Grimes
William Arthur “Bill” Grimes went home to his Lord on Thursday night, June 4, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was welcomed into the world by his loving parents Charles Franklin Sr. and Rosamary (Bates) Grimes on October 27, 1943, in Tipton.
Bill graduated from Tipton High School as a member of the Class of 1962. Upon graduation, Bill worked hard to pay for his tuition to Butler University, where he graduated in 1969 with a degree in music. Bill would go on to teach music and serve as band director at Brownsburg High School for five years.
On November 20, 1976, he married Minerva “Minnie” Montemayor, with whom he would share nearly 50 years together.
Bill worked for Jim Dandy Restaurants for nearly 40 years. He was a member of West Street Christian Church, where he was honored to be named Elder Emeritus. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #1590 and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #109. He also carried on his love of music in the Tipton Community Band, where he enjoyed playing his alto and soprano saxophones.
Bill will be remembered for his “in charge” but fair approach, his warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends. Whether through his guidance, sense of humor, or quiet acts of kindness, he left a lasting impression on everyone and was affectionately known by many as “Mr. Bill”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Raymond “Jack” Moody, Constance “Connie” Tolle, Mary Lou Grimes, Charles F. “Charlie” Grimes, Jr., and Hillard Donovan “Don” Grimes.
Left to carry on his legacy is his beloved wife Minnie and his children Tony (Chrisi) Grimes of Fishers, Maria (Brendan) McGrath of Westfield, and Gina (John) Kelley of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his siblings Harold (Linda) Grimes of Banning, CA, and Willard Danovan “Dan” (Margaret) Grimes of Hiawassee, GA.
Bill loved watching all his grandchildren grow up: Julia and Alex Grimes of Fishers, Molly and Saoirse McGrath of Westfield, Sidney (Corey) Kuropas of Austin, TX, Devin (David) Wallach of Oxnard, CA, and Cash Kelley of Nashville, TN. He is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation for Bill will be held at West Street Christian Church on Saturday, June 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ashley Sherard will preside. Burial will follow services at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.
