Georgie Brackey

Georgie Brackey, the handsome tabby boy of Kendall and Kevin Brackey of Kokomo, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Georgie was born in Kokomo as a stray and was luckily found by the Brackey family on Monday, September 21, 2020, and they gave him a forever home on that very day.

Kendall described Georgie’s personality as “a dog-cat.” He loved to lie with the dogs and play. He let them lick him, and he was their shadow.

Kendall recalled one of the things she loved about Georgie was, “I loved that he had to be petted before he ate, and if you didn’t, he would meow until you did.”

Kendall relayed how Georgie strongly despised being bathed. “He hated to be washed. He would constantly try to jump out of the tub, and he only tolerated being groomed.”

He also didn’t care for car rides, according to Kendall. “He didn’t like going on car rides. It would scare him. And you couldn’t play music, or he would pee.”

According to Kendall, Georgie enjoyed “the Blue Wilderness Salmon Treats.” They were his favorite.

Kendall shared that what she felt Georgie valued most in life was “going outside.” He loved it so much.

Georgie’s favorite toy was his little RV pop-up tent, which he loved. Kendall shared, “He liked when you would play with him and his toy snake while he was in there.”

Kendall shared, “There was a time my uncle went in the kitchen to get something, and he looked up because he heard a noise. And Georgie was on the very top of the cabinets.”

Georgie felt a close bond to Kevin. He was his human, according to Kendall. Georgie, who also went by the nickname of “Georgie Whorgie,” was a handsome, sweet soul. Kendall and his family loved Georgie so very much. He will forever remain in their hearts.

In addition to Kendall and Kevin, mourning the loss of Georgie are many human family members and friends who were lucky to have met Georgie. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Georgie Brackey.
