Crystal M. Kuebel
Crystal M. Kuebel, born on December 19, 1976, in Logansport, Indiana, passed away on May 30, 2026, in Peru, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and a deeply caring spirit.
Crystal was the beloved daughter of Charles and Edith Collins and a devoted mother to her son Damien Kuebel. She was also lovingly connected to her fiancé Devon Bowen and was preceded in death by her husband Christian “Slater” Kuebel in 2021. Family was central to Crystal’s life, and those who knew her best will remember the warmth she carried into every relationship and the steady love she gave to the people closest to her.
Crystal spent much of her life helping others, and her work as a caregiver reflected the very heart of who she was. For many years, she devoted herself to caring for others with patience, compassion, and a generous nature. She found purpose in being there for people in times of need, and she approached that calling with sincerity and grace. Her kindness was not limited to her work, as it was a defining part of the way she lived each day.
A graduate of South Medford High School in Medford, Oregon, Crystal continued her education by attending Southern Oregon University. She valued learning and growth, and her life reflected a thoughtful and creative mind. She was known as a spirited, friendly, and creative person, and those qualities were evident in the way she expressed herself and in the relationships she built throughout her life.
Crystal had many interests that brought her joy and allowed her personality to shine. She loved drawing and had a natural creative gift that touched many parts of her life. Music was another source of happiness for her, and she enjoyed the comfort and inspiration it brought. She also found peace and satisfaction in working in her garden, where she could nurture beauty and watch it grow. At the time of her passing, she was working on writing her book, a project that reflected both her imagination and her desire to share her voice with the world.
Those who knew Crystal will remember her as someone who carried herself with a lively spirit and a genuine friendliness that made others feel welcome. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and her presence brought light to those around her. Her creativity was not only seen in her interests, but also in the unique way she approached life. She met the world with heart, and she left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Crystal’s life was one of love, hard work, and quiet strength. She gave of herself freely and found meaning in caring for others, creating, and connecting with the people and passions she held dear. Though her time on earth was far too short, the memory of her spirited nature, her loving heart, and her creative soul will remain with her family and friends always.
She will be deeply missed by her son Damien Kuebel; her fiancé Devon Bowen; her parents Charles and Edith Collins; and all who were blessed to share in her life. Crystal M.
