Bank employees turn out to provide service in Howard, Hamilton counties

Each year, Community First Bank (CFB) employees look forward to Veterans Day as a special opportunity to give back to those who have served. While the bank is closed, team members roll up their sleeves to provide yardwork services such as raking leaves, cleaning gutters, and washing windows for local veterans.

This year, more than 100 CFB employees volunteered across Howard and Hamilton counties, visiting 28 veterans’ homes for yardwork and home maintenance. In addition, veterans in both counties were treated to complimentary tenderloin meals from local favorite Swayzee Loinz. Over 400 meals were served, marking the highest total since the meal program began in 2020.

Making the day even more special, the entire event was fully funded and organized by CFB employees. Thanks to the “Casual for a Cause” program, in which employees donate to wear jeans at work, funds were raised throughout the year to support Veterans Day meals and supplies for yardwork projects.
