Barbara Ann (Crow) Mygrant, Kelly Kay Alder
Barbara Ann (Crow) Mygrant
Barbara Ann (Crow) Mygrant, 68, of Greentown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 31, 2025. Barb was surrounded by the love and prayers of her husband and family as she passed from this world to her eternal home in Heaven.
Barb was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on December 26, 1956, to her parents David Crow and Orpha (Tygart) Crow. She attended Kokomo High School, class of 1974. Barb married Richard Pattengale in 1976. The two shared 16 years together and three beautiful children before Richard passed away in 1992. In 2006, Barb married David Mygrant. Dave and Barb are grateful to have enjoyed 19 years of marriage, as well as many memories with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Through the years Barb worked for Lorentson Manufacturing in Kokomo, Porter Engineered Systems in Westfield, and Hills Department Store in Kokomo. Barb was a very hard worker throughout her life, and just recently retired. She was a proud member of the Women’s Auxiliary Chapter 28 DAV for the veterans.
Barb was known for her generous heart and willingness to help others. She gave freely of her time and energy and often put the needs of others ahead of her own. She seemed to always be equipped with words of comfort, and her kindness was genuine.
Barb was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was deep and steadfast. She prayed for each of them daily, covering them in grace for whatever might be going on in their lives. Her home was a welcoming place, full of warmth. The holidays were especially enjoyable. Barb absolutely loved Thanksgiving! And Christmas! She shopped all year round to make Christmas extra special for everyone she loved.
Most importantly, Barb’s faith was the cornerstone of her life! She fully embraced being the wife of a pastor. She was proud of her husband, and served alongside him with strength, humility, and joy. Barb’s church family was just as dear to her as her own. She loved, supported and prayed for them faithfully. Barb’s legacy is one of love, service, and faith in action. She was one of a kind, and will be so deeply missed by her family, her church, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Those left to carry on Barb’s legacy of love are her husband David Mygrant; children Heather Pattengale (Josh), Richard Pattengale Jr. (Cathy), Matthew Pattengale (Tracy), and Marielena Dean (Mike); stepchildren Tom Mygrant (Teresa), Ted Mygrant (Tanya), and Heather Mygrant; grandchildren Elizabeth (Wyatt), Jessica, Nic (Allie), Nate, Tia (Blayze), Richard III, Logan, Adalyn, Jackson, Cruz, Layton, Aleya, Alex, Teddie (Kevin), Blayne (Hannah), Clayton (Allie), Miriam, and Gavin (Sky); great-grandchildren Kai, Roman, Danielle, Aliyah, and Warren; siblings Rick Crow (Jody), Sandy Edgerley (Gary), Paul Crow (Sharon), and Judy Justice (Jim); sister-in-law Debbie Crow; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents David and Orpha Crow; first husband Richard Pattengale; brother David Crow; and sister Marilyn Crow; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service celebrating Barb’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton, Indiana, with Pastor Zachary Loveland officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Kelly Kay Alder
Kelly Kay Alder, 62, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born November 15, 1962, in Logansport, Indiana. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1980.
On February 23, 1990, in Logansport, she was married to Russell James Alder, who preceded her in death July 22, 2022.
Kelly was a big Days of Our Lives fan, and she’d smile at the thought of her story beginning with: “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” A homemaker, she loved her family-and that included her dogs. She could spend hours coloring and doing word search puzzles, two of her favorite ways to unwind. Shopping for Kelly was always easy-if it had a penguin on it, she’d love it! Kelly never got to see the ocean, but she’d want you to go if you can. Make your dreams happen. And if you find yourself standing at the shore, take it in for her. Let the waves wash over you and enjoy it just a little extra with Kelly in mind.
She is survived by four children Jimmy Adair, Brittany Alder, and Katelyn Alder (Brandon Eastham), all of Logansport, and Baylie Alder of Kokomo; grandchildren Austin Adair, Adrianne Adair, Natalie Adair, Kierra Dunfee, Conner Nethercutt, Cameron Eastham, Carsonn Eastham, and Oaklynn Eastham; and several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father James William Cotner and her grandmother Estella Grace Cotner, who was like a mother to her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services.
You may share memories and offer words of comfort on her Tribute Wall at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com
