Robert Howard Hall
Robert Howard Hall, 64, Roann, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his residence.
Born December 22, 1961, in Vandalia, Illinois, he was the son of Marvin Howard Hall and Treva Marie (McDonald) Hall. On July 2, 1979, in Kewanna, Indiana, he was married to Sandra Dean Garner Hall, and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2020.
Robert attended Kewanna High School and had worked for Ray’s Tree Service. He loved working on vehicles, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include five daughters Sandra Hall (Andy Langley) of North Manchester, Edna Hall (David Fodge) of North Manchester, Jessica (James) Bowman of Roann, Tonya (Kevin) Rasmussen of Kokomo, and Pamela Rasmussen of Kokomo; grandchildren Marissa Rasmussen, Dasha Hall, Isaiah Hall, Chelsea (Shawn) Russelburg, Tristen Rasmussen, Michael Powers (Angel Butner), Alicia Rasmussen (Andrew Glassburn), Josh McCoy (Lilly Baxter), Dylan Hall, Ayden Bowman, Leland Fodge, Dominik Fodge, Hunter Rasmussen, Jeremiah Hall, Leighton Hendrickson, and Laila Hendrickson, with one more expected in April; two great-grandchildren with another expected in May; two sisters Nancy Kern of Peru and Betty Nice of Lucerne; and two brothers Richard Hall of Amboy and William Hall of North Manchester; father-in-law Dennis Bush of Livingston, Tennessee; son-in-law John Rasmussen of Kokomo; former son-in-law Matthew Powers of Roann; several sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 1-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help assist with final expenses.
Beverly Ann Kernel
Beverly Ann Kernel, 88, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:53 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her grandson’s home. She was born July 21, 1937, in Silver Lake, Indiana, to Clifford and Maxine (Easterday) Boring. On February 21, 1970, she married the love of her life Benjamin T. Kernel, who preceded her in death on April 26, 1998.
Beverly worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo until her retirement. Beverly was a devout Christian who loved her family dearly and was known for her generous nature. She took pride in her appearance and enjoyed shopping and getting her nails done.
Survivors include her daughters Brenda and Munda (Bob) Blair; son Terrell (Lindsay) Kernel; grandchildren Jamie Nussbaum, Jonathan (Michelle) Green, Nathan (Kylee) Green, Kimberly Staten, Justin (Alyssa) Kernel, Jared (Kaylee) Kernel, Jacob (Lilly) Kernel, Kaelyn Kernel, and Marissa Steward; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Sonny Boring; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son Ralph Green; daughter Diana (Jerry) Staten; brother Larry Boring; and sisters Carol Laycock, Barbara Cassidy, and Patty Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Zachary Manton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. C. Jean Runkle McCoy
C. Jean Runkle McCoy, 91, Mexico, passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her residence.
Born November 16, 1934, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Kelly McCoy and Sadie Day.
Jean grew up in Kentucky and moved to Indiana when she was 14. She worked many places over the years including Sherrill Corp., Electro-nite, and Market Street Grill. She enjoyed going to garage sales, drinking coffee with friends, writing and sending greeting cards, and baking cookies.
Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had a strong faith in the Lord and attended Mexico Community Church. To everyone she was a friend, and not a life that knew her was untouched by her love.
Survivors include six children Rick (Linda) Runkle of Floyd Knobbs, Sherry (Hans) Hess of Radcliff, Jim (Rosa) Runkle of Ft. Wayne, Michelle Runkle of Kokomo, Lisa McCoy of Wabash, and Regina McClain of Kokomo; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Judy Runkle; granddaughter Kelly Miller; and brothers Fred McCoy, Oscar McCoy, Claude McCoy, Kelly McCoy, and Bob Hatton.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on January 31, 2026, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Mexico Community Church from 11-1 p.m. Please join the family at the church for a time of fellowship as her children celebrate the loss of their greatest friend and advocate.

Alvin William “Bill” Wallace
Alvin William “Bill” Wallace, 85, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his home.
He was born April 16, 1940, in Kokomo to Russell O. and Bernice Wallace. Bill was an engineer by trade and served his country in the United States Air Force.
Private services will be held.
Leanna “Grizz” Jean McCoy
Leanna “Grizz” Jean McCoy, 66, Twelve Mile, passed away at 7:08 a.m. on December 24, 2025, at Northwoods Commons. She was born in Kokomo on June 8, 1959, to Richard Lee Horton and Nancy Lee (Karnes) Kindig. On May 24, 2012, she married her best friend Russell “Rutt” McCoy. They spent 35 years together before his passing on October 23, 2016.
Leanna graduated from Haworth High School in 1977. She absolutely loved her children, but most of all her grandchildren. She was a woman who was not afraid to speak her mind. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching game shows, and Gunsmoke with her mom.
Leanna is survived by her mother, Nancy; children Heidi (Matthew) Dotterer, Jeffrey (Scott) Johnston, and Joshua McCoy; grandchildren Raelynn “Love Bunny” Johnston, Warne Rowland, Covid “Covie” Dotterer, Amy McCoy, Clayton McCoy, and Heaven McCoy; brothers Richard L. Horton and Scott (Kathy) Horton; many nieces & nephews she loved dearly; and a few good friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard; husband Russell; grandson William “Dink” Rowland; brother John Horton; and favorite cousin Michelle.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
