Deborah Larch

Deborah Larch, 69, Sweetser, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, at Century Villa in Greentown. She was born September 3, 1956, in Anderson, IN, to Elbert and Emogene (Poffenbarger) Stewart. On May 31, 1986, she married Darrell Larch, and he survives.

Debbie was a 1974 Anderson High School graduate and later earned her bachelor’s in accounting from Indiana Business College. Always the hard worker, Debbie drove a school bus for Anderson Community Schools, was a ticket taker at Anderson Speedway, was an assistant manager at Village Pantry, was a lunch lady for Lapel Schools, worked in childcare for Pendleton Schools, and was a medical assistant at Ascension Health, formerly St. John’s, in Anderson. Debbie loved crocheting gifts for friends and family, but her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband Darrell Larch; mother Emogene Johnson; children Justin (Nikki) Larch and Jenny (Rickie) Friar; grandchildren Araya, Raylynn, and Brayden Larch; siblings Peggy Sisson (Terry) Sisson, Teddi (Doug) Alcoe, Becky Reed, and Fran (Jeff) Loveall; a number of younger brothers and sisters on dad’s side; and a special cousin Jimmy Poffenbarger.

She was preceded in death by her father Elbert Stewart; stepfather Ted Johnson; as well as brothers Darrell Stewart, Ron Johnson, and Max Johnson.

Richard Joseph “Dick” Crume

Richard Joseph “Dick” Crume, 81, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 3:13 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare in Kokomo. He was born on March 6, 1945, in Burlington, Indiana, the son of the late Kenneth & Marjori (Milburn) Crume. On June 4, 1967, in Greentown, he married Janis Hensler, who survives.

Dick graduated from Carroll High School in 1963 after attending Burlington High School. His career was as diverse as it was industrious. He retired in 2011 as a Territory Salesman for Power Equipment but had also worked with UPS during high school and held positions at John Deere in Kokomo, Mann Chevrolet, Chrysler Corp., Wiese Olds Cadillac in Logansport, Bieghler 98 Station, Crume’s Garage, Tilton Equipment Co., and Kar Products. His work ethic and versatility were evident throughout his professional journey.

Dick found joy in gardening, fishing, restoring tractors — especially Allis Chalmers models — and grilling out during family gatherings. He was an avid NASCAR fan with a particular admiration for Dale Earnhardt Sr. Dick cherished spending time in Florida and was known for his playful spirit as a jokester and his fondness for passing out hard candies to those around him.

Dick’s faith played an important role in his life. He was a member of both the Burlington Church of Christ and Faith Church of Christ. Additionally, he was a proud member of the Burlington Masonic Lodge #111 for an impressive 53 years.

Along with his beloved wife Janis Crume, Dick is also survived by his sons Mathew Crume and Jeremy (Kelli) Crume; brother Gary Crume; grandchildren Hayden (Kaydee) Crume, Madison Crume (Austin Gish), Garrett Crume, and Grady Crume; great-grandchildren Wylder Crume, Waylon Crume, and Wyatt Crume; sister-in-law Lynn (Tom) Pratt; aunt Roberta Elliott; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; sister Jane Crume; sisters-in-law Shirley (Gene) Clouser, Sharon (Jim) Gritton, Joyce (Larry) Myer, and Brenda Crume; and brother-in-law Larry (Barbara) Hensler.

A Masonic Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Burlington Church of Christ, 312 Michigan Road, Burlington. A memorial service will follow with Pastor Dave Osborne officiating. Howard Grant Richmond

Howard Grant Richmond passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 93. He was born in Grove, West Virginia, on September 20, 1932, to parents Howard McDowell and Dolores Reed Richmond. On October 8, 1952, Grant married Clara Jane Lemley in Oakland, Maryland. They had three children: Linda, Deborah, and Ed. They shared 73 years together before her death on April 21, 2026.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Grant loved a pristine yard, tinkering in the garage, and loved anything Air Force-related. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force for 40 years; started as a parachute rigger in 1952 at Sampson Air Force Base in Illinois. In 1956, he took his family to Seymour, Indiana, where he started working at Bakalar Air Force Base in Columbus, Indiana. Then, in 1970, they moved to Kokomo, Indiana, and he finished his career, joining the reserves at Grissom Air Force Base. He retired in 1992 when he started a part-time upholstery business. He loved Jesus with all his heart and was a member of St. Luke’s UMC, now called The ConneXion Church and the Builders Class since 1970.

He is survived by his children Linda Kay VanNatter (Randy) of Kokomo, IN, and Ed Richmond (Danielle) Spanish Fork, Utah; beloved grandchildren Amy (Paul) Barber of Kokomo, IN, Brad (Jodi) Hall of Garards Fort, PA, Miranda Hall of West Virginia, Kari (Marc) Lysse of Dunwoody, GA, Jodi (Roy) Rogers of Kokomo, IN, Kayla Richmond of Midvale, Utah, Drew (Princess) Richmond of Noblesville, IN, Kelcie (Zach) Foote of Spanish Fork, UT, and Kylie, Landon, and Britton Richmond of Spanish Fork, UT.

They were blessed with 15 great grandchildren: Abigail (Kevin) Esser, Taylor (Christian) Russell, Noah (Kylee) Stephenson, Isabella Rogers, Emily (Shon) Jervis, Phoebe Rogers, Roy Rogers IV, Quinn Lysse, Owen Lysse, Halle (Byron) Brandt, Zak (Emma) Chidester, Lucas (Payge) Hall, Isaac Hall, Alexis Desantis, and Nestor Richmond; and six great-great grandchildren Adelaide, Charlotte, Mabel, and Eden Esser, and Maverick and Knoxlee Russell; extended family Jeff and Terri Rude, Kristin (James) Rossman, Korin King and all of their children, and a host of close friends who were like family.

Grant was preceded in death by his wife, daughter Deborah Ann Richmond Hall, parents, and two brothers.

Grant’s family would like to give an extra big thanks to Southern Care Hospice Services for their love and compassion, especially to Dakota and Bridgit.

Services for Grant will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Sunset Memory Gardens. The viewing for friends and family will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with funeral to immediately follow with full military honors.

Jerry Lee George

Jerry Lee George, 68, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on July 1, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1957, in Tipton, Indiana, the son of Russell Ralph and Mary Alice (Burt) George.

Jerry was employed as a drywaller for more than 20 years. He loved his dog Butch. Jerry was an avid wrestling fan. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Thea Ann Windsor; siblings Jenny, Kathleen, and Colleen; girlfriend Kathy Lange; grandchildren Covy, TJ, and Zach; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Melody, Juanita, and Mary Elizabeth; brothers Paul, Kenny, and Bobby; mother of his children Teresa; daughter Jessica; and fur baby Scooby-Doo.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Nicholas “Nick” Joseph Cook

Nicholas “Nick” Joseph Cook, 59, of Logansport, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 20, 1967, the son of Billy Joe Cook and Barbara Kay (Johnson) Haley.

Nick is survived by his brothers Scott (Denise) Cook and Dustin Phillips; aunts Cathy (Tom) Silvers and Darlene Elkins; uncle Gary Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Brian David Cook.

Brisjonta’ Octavius Lee Richmond

Brisjonta’ Octavius Lee Richmond, Kokomo, was called home to Heaven June 28, 2026, after suffering injuries in a motor vehicle accident. He was born July 22, 2004, in Kokomo, the son of Tatyana Yvonne Snow and Brian Lee Richmond. He was raised by his mother, and the enduring father figure in his life was his uncle Yrret Tanner.

Brisjonta’ was a 2023 graduate of Kokomo High School. While in high school, he was active in eSports and the Radio Club. Brisjonta’ was a hard worker who was currently employed at FedEx in Kokomo. He had previously worked at Dollar Tree and Wendy’s. He enjoyed working and building relationships with the people he met while working.

He enjoyed gaming, electronics, anime, making beats, and producing music. Brisjonta’ was family oriented and loved to spend time with his family.

Brisjonta’ is survived by his mother Tatyana Snow; father-figure Yrret Tanner; biological father Brian Richmond; maternal grandmother Carol Tanner; sisters A’Nyja Snow, Zari’ya Snow, Bri’Janah Richmond, Abby Richmond, Tanyla Fields, and Amirra Fields; uncle Brian Selig; aunts Angie Smith, Schwana Warwick, and Linda Nibbs; and his cousin who was a brother to him Shaquane Warwick. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Oscar Snow and great grandparents Deloris Tanner and Condola Tanner.
