Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 16, as the Greentown Historical Society will host a special presentation by Joan Hostetler of The Indiana Album, featuring the history of glass negatives and the extraordinary Gibson Photograph Collection.

The event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Greentown History Center, 103 E. Main St., Greentown.

Free photo scanning also will be offered at the History Center from noon to 4:00m. The public is invited to bring their historical Indiana photos -- depicting business, buildings, schools, people, or events -- for scanning and possible inclusion in the Indiana Album’s digital archive. Items will be scanned and returned while you wait.
