Volunteers are needed to assist with the community-wide effort to ensure people continue to have food access during the suspension of SNAP benefits. Those willing to help may volunteer for any of the following roles:
- Food Packers - Tuesday evenings from 3-6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church
- Food Delivery Drivers - Wednesday mornings from 9-11 a.m. from St. Andrew’s Church to the seven distribution sites located across the community
- Distribution Site Volunteers - Wednesday evenings from 3:45-6 p.m. at Taylor Elementary School and at Garden Square Apartments
Volunteers are needed every week, starting today, Tues., Nov. 4, and continuing through December 11. Email bethany.wenger@howardcountyin.gov if you are interested in picking up any of these shifts.
Also, Reformation Faith Ministries, 1800 S. Courtland Ave., will offer a hot meal for anyone in need, beginning Wed., Nov. 5, and continuing for the next six weeks.
There are no income or identification requirements to enjoy these meals. Volunteers are also needed to help provide this outreach to the community. If you are willing to assist in preparing or serving meals or help with the setup and cleanup on-site, please call 765-553-5961 or email pastor@thereformationfaithministries.com
