Center Township Trustee Andrew “Drew” Durham was honored by the AGA Central Indiana Chapter with its Outstanding Service in Local Government Award during the chapter’s annual awards banquet held at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis.

The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to public service.

Durham currently serves as Trustee of Center Township in Howard County. Before being elected trustee in 2022, he spent nearly a decade serving as the township’s Financial Officer and Comptroller. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Manchester University and an MBA from Western Governors University.

“I am truly honored and humbled to receive this recognition from AGA,” said Durham. “Public service has always been about helping people and ensuring that local government remains accountable, responsive, and fiscally responsible. This award reflects the dedication of our entire Center Township team and the many community partners who work alongside us to serve the residents of Center Township.”

Since taking office, Durham has emphasized fiscal responsibility, transparency, and expanding community services while strengthening partnerships with nonprofit organizations and local agencies. Under his leadership, Center Township has continued to provide critical assistance programs and host community initiatives that connect residents with resources and support.

“Serving our community is a privilege,” Durham said. “I am grateful to the residents of Center Township for their trust and to my family, staff, and colleagues for their continued support.”

AGA (Association of Government Accountants) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing government accountability, transparency, and financial management excellence. Through its awards program, the Central Indiana Chapter recognizes outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to government service.
