Stellantis’ Kokomo Casting Plant (KCP) has been recognized by the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) for its commitment to excellence in safety.
This recognition highlights organizations that maintain safety records exceeding national manufacturing averages and that demonstrate a sustained allegiance to protecting employees on the job, evaluated using year-end safety records submitted to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the U.S and Occupational Health and Safety Administration in Canada for the previous year.
KCP was the only organization among NADCA’s approximately 290 members to earn the association’s 10 Years of Excellence in Safety distinction and the first company ever recognized in the category since its establishment. NADCA reserves this highest level of safety recognition for organizations achieving five and 10 consecutive years of award-winning performance.
The Kokomo plant also earned a 2025 Outstanding Safety award, its 12th since 2014. This award is presented to organizations with employee days away from recordable injuries or illnesses averaging 1.7 or less. The metric measures incidents that result in employees missing work, performing restricted duties or being transferred to another position, providing insight into the severity of job-related incidents and the effectiveness of an organization’s safety programs.

KCP is the largest die-cast facility in the world, spanning 625,000 square feet. It produces transmission and transaxle cases, aluminum parts for automotive components, and engine block castings. The plant will be honored during NADCA’s annual Safety Award Program to be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
