Beginning in May of 2026, investigators from the Howard County Sheriffs Task Force and Kokomo Police Drug Task Force began an investigation into an individual suspected of distributing large amounts of illegal drugs in Kokomo. Investigators were able to identify the subject as Delmar Cannon.
At the conclusion of their investigation, a search warrant was secured for both 623 E. Walnut St. and 1021 E. Broadway St. in Kokomo.
On Aug. 7, 2026, the Howard County SWAT Team, Howard County Sheriffs Task Force, Kokomo Police Drug Task Force, Indiana State Police, Grant County J.E.A.N Team, and Cass County Drug Task Force executed the search warrants at these locations. As a result, the following was seized:
- Approximately three pounds of suspected Methamphetamine
- Approximately one pound of suspected Fentanyl
- Approximately 56 grams of suspected Cocaine
- Approximately six pounds of THC products
- Four firearms
Delmar Cannon was arrested and charged with:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony
- Dealing in Cocaine/Narcotic Drug – Level 2 Felony
- Dealing in Marijuana – Level 5 Felony
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm – Level 5 Felony
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 6 Felony
Crystal Jackson was arrested and charged with:
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 5 Felony
