Kokomo's Frozen Sandlot, located at Kokomo Municipal Stadium, 400 S. Union Street, opened for business on Nov. 24 and is ready to host individual and family fun on the ice for the 2023-2024 season.

In partnership with the City of Kokomo and Bridges Outreach, the Frozen Sandlot is in its sixth season of operation. After opening weekend, the facility will reopen this Thursday for more ice skating and fun.

Starting in 2018, the Frozen Sandlot's goal is to bring ice skating back to Kokomo. The parking is free at the stadium, and skates are provided with a ticket. Participants may also bring their own skates.

The Frozen Sandlot season will last through Jan. 7, 2024, and the area is available for parties and private events. To see the dates and times the Sandlot is open go to their website https://www.frozensandlot.com/ for more information and the rules that the area operates with.

All proceeds from the Frozen Sandlot will go back to Bridges Outreach to develop programs that aid local youth academically, socially, emotionally.
