Teens and adults will have the opportunity to explore their emotions with a board-certified art therapist this summer at the library.
Brooke Komar, a licensed mental health counselor, will lead free art therapy classes starting in June at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library. Sessions will be offered separately to teens and adults and will focus on topics like gratitude, happiness, personal boundaries and reducing stress. This program was paid for by a grant from the Community Foundation of Howard County.
The series of classes fits with the library’s Summer Reading Program theme, Color Our World. Throughout the summer, the library will host a variety of art-related programs for children, teens and adults, all of which can be found on the library’s website khcpl.org or in the printed newsletter available at any KHCPL location.
Those interested in joining the art therapy classes are asked to register for individual classes by calling the library at 765-457-3242 or by visiting https://khcpl.libnet.info/events.
