The Community Foundation of Howard County will recognize Giving Day on Tue., Oct. 28. The Foundation will hold an open house on that date, welcoming the public to visit its offices at 215 W. Sycamore St. for tasty treats, Giving Day swag, and information about donating to support nonprofit organizations in Howard County.

During Giving Day, donations are tripled thanks to a two-for-one gift match available through the Lilly Endowment, Inc. A $100 donation becomes $300. This special event will help the Community Foundation reach its $750,000 fundraising goal, which will be transformed into $2.25 million with Lilly’s matching gift.

As part of the Giving Day festivities, the Community Foundation will celebrate the history of its offices within the Broadlick Building in downtown Kokomo. Join Howard County Historian Gil Porter for a tour of the building which the Community Foundation has called home for the past two decades.

Tours will take place at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28. No reservation is required.
