The Russiaville Lions Club will celebrate its 80th anniversary this Sunday, January 11, with an open house. The organization, which was chartered on December 28, 1945, has been a mainstay and community cornerstone in Russiaville.

The organization has served as a gathering place for celebrations, informational sessions, and vital community activities. And its generosity is at the center of the town’s thriving youth baseball and softball leagues, which play on grounds provided by the Lions Club.

The community is invited to join in the anniversary celebration at the Lions Club, 555 N. Liberty St., from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 11. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. No reservations are necessary.
