Each of us, regardless of who we are or where we come from, can nurture others in our community, enabling them to thrive. That’s what Ivy Tech is all about, and our fourth annual Ivy Tech Day will help students at our Kokomo campus and those across the state to prepare for lives that will impact Hoosiers for years to come.
The Ivy Tech Day of giving kicked off at 12:01 a.m. on April 21. For 24 hours, you can contribute to Ivy Tech’s commitment to student success, scholarships, and transformative programs.
The day is about reuniting alumni and friends as well as celebrating the important work being done at the nation’s largest singly accredited community college – such as preparing nurses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and others for tomorrow’s workforce.
Statewide, Ivy Tech contributes nearly $4 billion annually to Indiana’s economy, including a net impact of $3.6 billion from alumni working in Hoosier communities. More than four in five graduates stay in Indiana to pursue their careers, and more than 80 percent leave without the burden of student debt.
IvyTech Day continues until midnight tonight. To give, visit ivytech.edu/giveday
For those visiting the campus today, remember to wear Ivy Tech green! There will be traveling refreshment carts throughout the day. There also will be a campus cookout from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the Health Professions Center (HPC) with entertainment by The Page Brothers.
A decoration competition will have its winners announced at campus cookout, and there will be games and chances to win gift cards with Chancellor Ethan Heicher from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the HPC.
The Ivy Tech Foundation provides support for Ivy Tech Community College beyond state appropriations and student tuition. Its overall program of work focuses on meeting student needs. Invest IN Ivy Tech, our recently completed $340 million statewide fundraising campaign, provides greater opportunity for each of the College’s 19 campuses to educate, train, and support all 92 of Indiana’s counties.
