Two recent Kokomo High School graduates are being honored by the General James Cox Chapter of the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Madison Armstrong is the Indiana DAR State Scholarship winner. Madison’s entry detailed her interest in using environmental engineering to improve public health. Among her activities while at Kokomo High school, she participated in the Kokomo CEO program. She will enter Purdue University in the fall and seek a degree in Environmental and Resource Engineering.
Ethan Lytle won the Chapter Historian Scholarship. Ethan noted that a highlight of his life was attending a recent United States Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship. He also participated in the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board and interned at the United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties. Ethan will attend Purdue University to major in accounting to further develop his analytical skills as he pursues his ultimate goal of becoming an attorney and practicing Constitutional law.
