Dan’s Variety Bakery, 1800 S. Union St., announces its first Donut Eating Contest to benefit Relay for Life. The contest will be held Wed., Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Dan’s Donuts parking lot. And those who can pack away the most donuts will win cash prizes.

The competition will feature men’s and women’s divisions for people ages 18 and up, and cash prizes will go to the top three finishers in each division. First place in each division will receive $500, while second-place finishers will be awarded $200, and those finishing third will receive $100.

All proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life’s Team Knotty Mama. The cost to enter the contest is $25, and entry forms for the event are available only at Dan’s Variety Bakery.
