God's love should be shared with compassion and conviction
In our relationships, we often find it easy to invest time, extend invitations, and hope for the best. Yet, we rarely cross the line into insistence. Many of us are naturally non-confrontational. We avoid pushing people too hard or stepping into uncomfortable conversations. Whether out of fear of rejection, a desire to keep the peace, or a misunderstanding of kindness, we often stay quiet when it matters most, especially in matters of faith.
However, God doesn’t tailor His commands around our comfort zones. His Word does not say, “Go, if you feel like it,” or “Speak, when the conditions are perfect.” He simply says, “Go.” Jesus instructs us to go and make disciples. The Holy Spirit nudges us to share the truth and invite others into life with Christ. This call is not reserved for the outspoken or extroverted, it’s for all of us.
When we love someone, we naturally want what’s best for them. So why do we hesitate to insist on what matters most? We invest in relationships and casually invite others to church or spiritual conversations, but we rarely express the urgency and necessity of knowing Jesus. The gospel is not a casual suggestion; it is a lifeline.
This doesn’t mean we become pushy or overbearing. Instead, we persist with the gentleness of Jesus. We insist with love, not force. We carry a message that transforms lives, and we should present it with a heart full of compassion and conviction.
People need Jesus, whether they recognize it or not. He is the answer to the ache in every human soul. So let us be bold in our kindness, persistent in our invitations, and unwavering in our witness.
