Spring has arrived, and with it comes the sounds of softball. The pop of a ball in a mitt. The ring of an aluminum bat connecting cleanly on a pitch. The cheers from the stands. All herald the arrival of the outdoor sports season.

The young women of Eastern and Kokomo faced off in a friendly scrimmage last week as both teams prepare for the regular season. The Comets will play their first official game tonight, March 18, at Western High School. Similarly, the Lady Kats travel to Ben Davis to open their season this evening.
