Sheriff arrests two on drug manufacturing charges

On Tue., March 19, at approximately 11:50 a.m., detectives with the Howard County Violent Crimes Sheriff’s Office Task Force and day shift patrol, with the assistance of Howard County Probation, executed a search warrant on a residence in the area of 800 E. Hoffer Street.

During the course of the search, detectives located the following items:

• 98 counterfeit M/30 fentanyl pills

• One pill press

• Items for manufacturing illegal counterfeit controlled substances

• Over 100 g. of field-tested positive fentanyl

• Large amount of U.S. currency

• One illegally possessed Glock firearm

Information obtained during the search warrant led detectives to believe that the residence was manufacturing counterfeit M30 pills made of fentanyl. Detectives also located several grams of field-tested positive fentanyl hidden in an infant’s formula container.

Two subjects were taken into custody without incident and are being held without bond in the Howard County Jail. The Howard County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana Department of Protective Children Services.



Celie J. Jackson, 28, was charged with four felony counts of Neglect of a Dependent, one felony count of Possession of Cocaine, one felony count of Dealing in a Controlled Substance, one felony count of Dealing in a Counterfeit Substance, one felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine, and two misdemeanor counts of Possession of Marijuana.



Todd A. Warren, 33, was charged with four felony counts of Neglect of a Dependent, one felony count of Possession of Cocaine, one felony count of Dealing in a Controlled Substance, one felony count of Dealing in a Counterfeit Substance, one felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine, one felony count of Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two misdemeanor counts of Possession of Marijuana.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that the filing of the information is merely an allegation, and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
