City sets two days for Trick or Treating

The City of Kokomo is excited to announce that this year, families will have two nights to enjoy trick-or-treating festivities: Wednesday, October 30, and Thursday, October 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. both evenings.

This decision provides families with added flexibility and ensures that Halloween fun is accessible to all, regardless of potential weather challenges.

"We know how much our community looks forward to Halloween, and we want to make sure that parents and kids have every opportunity to enjoy it safely," said Mayor Tyler Moore.  "By offering two nights of trick-or-treating, we're giving families the flexibility to choose what works best for them, especially if the weather doesn't cooperate one of the nights."

The city encourages families to take advantage of the dual trick-or-treating schedule and reminds participants to practice common safety measures such as carrying flashlights, wearing reflective clothing, and checking treats before consumption.

Residents are encouraged to signal their participation by turning their porch lights on if they are welcoming trick-or-treaters, and off if they are not.

This applies to the City of Kokomo only. Times in the county may vary.
