IU Kokomo alums showcased in Gallery biennial exhibition
Artwork by nearly a dozen alumni will be featured in the newest exhibition in the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery.
The Alumni Biennial Exhibition opens Wed., Aug. 20, and includes oil paintings, mixed media embroidery and paintings, digital illustrations, acrylic paintings, photography, and video work by 11 artists who completed degrees through the new media, art, and technology and art programs. The exhibit highlights the evolution of their creative processes since graduation and celebrates their artistic achievements.
Gallery Director Carrie Baxter said the exhibit highlights the evolution of the artists’ creative processes since graduation and celebrates their artistic achievements.
“It is important for us to host the alumni exhibition because it offers a unique opportunity for alumni to share their work with the community and to inspire the next generation of artists through their continued growth and innovation,” she said.
The exhibition continues through Mon., Sept. 15, with a closing reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery in the IU Kokomo Library Building, 2300 S. Washington St.

The exhibition is free and open to the public in the Gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Gallery is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Free parking is available on campus.
