On Monday, August 25, McGonigal Buick GMC, in partnership with the Red Cross, hosted a community blood drive. This inaugural drive was considered a great success, as the donations gathered will enable the Red Cross to save 63 lives.

The McGonigal dealership, a part of Chariot Automotive Group, is committed to giving back to the community and has a history of partnering with the Red Cross in Kokomo and Tipton. While this was the first time McGonigal hosted a blood drive, its sister dealership Button Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram location has hosted five blood drives in the last two years.

Chariot Automotive Group extends its appreciation to the community for participating in the blood drive and helping McGonigal make a difference through these life-saving gifts.

The Red Cross encourages healthy donors to give blood every time they are eligible, which is typically once every 56 days, up to six times a year. The full process takes about an hour, with the actual donation taking about 10 minutes.
