The Kokomo Rescue Mission will open its warming center and emergency overnight shelter this week. The mission dining room will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day through Friday, Dec. 5, as a warming center.

In the evenings, the mission will maintain an emergency overnight shelter set up for those who need it. Men can check in at the men’s desk at the mission’s main building, 321 W. Mulberry St., starting at 6 p.m. Women can stay at the Open Arms Shelter beginning at 6 p.m. Call 765-456-3077 to make arrangements.

Also, the City of Kokomo is maintaining a warming center at the Girl Scout Cabin located in Foster Park daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 5.
