Mayor Tyler Moore has announced that Lennon Deery of Pettit Park Technology Academy is the winner of the 2025 Mayor’s Christmas Card Contest.
Moore introduced Lennon along with the other seven finalists from each of the participating schools. Lennon’s design will be the official Christmas card of the mayor, and it will be sent to hundreds of individuals, including local, state, and federal officials, as well as the United States President and Vice-President.
Lennon’s design features a snowman and the words “Merry Christmas.”
“Our fourth graders never cease to amaze me with their imagination and talent,” Moore said. “Their holiday artwork is something I look forward to every year, and it just keeps getting better; making it harder and harder to pick a winner!”
The annual contest, open to all fourth-grade students in the Kokomo School Corporation, has been a long-standing tradition between Kokomo School Corporation and the mayor’s office for years. Local students submitted nearly 300 designs this year.
