Community Foundation reaches fundraising goal, tripling donations made by people in Howard County
This year at the Community Foundation of Howard County, we have seen time and again the power of local philanthropy. Whether you are a donor, part of a local nonprofit organization, or someone just recently introduced to our work, we are grateful to have seen such a pattern of community connection in 2025.
Throughout the year, your support has been a catalyst for progress among several local nonprofit organizations. From home construction for those in need of shelter, to addressing food insecurity with Food Finders, to supporting local arts and culture, your generosity has sparked positive change in nearly every corner of Howard County.
We were also thrilled to host our first-ever Howard Giving Day this year! On October 28, we welcomed long-time friends and new donors alike to celebrate the history of our Foundation’s work and share our mission. Visitors were welcomed to leave a donation if they wished, which would be tripled $2-for-$1 and would help us achieve a fundraising goal of $750,000.
As of the end of November, we have officially achieved our fundraising goal, which will now be tripled to unlock over $2.2 million to support Howard County nonprofit organizations. We are incredibly grateful to our community, as this achievement is a testament to the power of local philanthropy in Howard County.
As we look ahead to 2026, our goal ultimately remains the same: to work together with local donors and nonprofits to make Howard County a better place to work, live, and thrive. If you are a donor looking for an outlet for your philanthropic giving, or a nonprofit in need of support, our door is always open. Please contact us at 765-454-7298 with any questions on how we can work together to achieve your goals for next year.
Thank you for another incredible year of progress, and for helping our community thrive!
